PTCL warns customers of hoax calls

It has come to the knowledge of PTCL management that some unknown individuals are making hoax calls to PTCL subscribers claiming to be the representatives of PTCL and announcing huge cash prizes for subscribers.
PTCL, therefore dissuade it’s existing and potential customers NOT to entertain, trust or fall for any such calls initiated by certain individuals offering any cash prize and either requires them to call back on a particular number or give serial/PIN number of prepaid scratch card in case of Vfone subscribers.
PTCL is not in any way affiliated with any prize draws to win cash prizes and has not in any way disclosed any of its subscriber’s phone numbers to any third parties for that purpose. 
It’s advised to the public, especially its customers, to be careful and vigilant when receiving and responding to such messages or phone calls and are advised to always call the PTCL Call Centre at 1236 for any information or for any clarification.
PTCL shall not be liable for any loss to any person in consequence of such fraudulent activities and deceptive practices by the third parties.
